Cala Vadella
Cala Vadella is one of those essential places that everyone that travels to Ibiza should visit.
A small stretch of sand that arises between the mountains, crystal clear water that does not lose the blue limpid purity of the Mediterranean and a small town that seems pulled out of a fairy tale; make the perfect scenery to spend a pleasant summer afternoon.
To reach Cala Vadella you must head towards the southwest area of Ibiza on the road PM-803. Along this road you can enjoy the Ibiza inner landscape as well as numerous towns and villages where you can try typical local products or buy local handcrafts. Once you have reached the town of San Jose you will have to take the detour towards Cala Vadella and Cala Tarida and in little more than 10 minutes you will arrive to this paradisiacal place. The access to the beach is very simple although the parking area tends to be full from early morning.
Cala Vadella is love at first sight. Located in a small inset of land surrounded by mountains, this is a place of calm waters, sheltered from the wind where the green vegetation contrasts in a spectacular way with the intense blue of the sky and the turquoise of the sea. The surroundings of Cala Vadella, covered with pine trees and vegetation, are also an ideal place for the lovers of trekking which can explore the surrounding roads to obtain an even more complete experience.
Cala Vadella counts with all the touristic services you can need: showers on the beach, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, hotels … Because of all these reasons it’s not difficult to understand that its 260 meters are filled every day with tourists and locals. People are looking for a space in which to relax and enjoy the summer sun.
Therefore it’s recommended to visit Cala Vadella at first hour in the morning. This way you can appreciate the natural state of a unique and idyllic environment taking advantage of every moment since the first rays of the sun up to sundown, when memories fade and everything seems to have been taken from a wonderful dream.
